Kavalan Solist Rum Cask WB

A single cask release selected by and bottled exclusively for WhiskyBrother. A single malt distilled at the Kavalan distillery in Taiwan in 2011 and bottled in 2019, this single cask was matured exclusively in a rum cask, with only 142 bottles produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at cask strength of 56.3%. 

Nose: A Honeyed sweetness, golden syrup cake, waxed lemon, pistachio-studded nougat, creamy vanilla, stewed apple, papaya and faint white pepper 

Palete: Melon and papaya sweetness, an array of spices, clove, and root ginger 

Finish: Long and satisfying, with a lingering sweetness and spices from the rum cask. The finish leaves a pleasant, warming sensation with traces of dried fruit and a hint of oak.
