Lochlea Fallow Edition

The seasonal small batch release showcasing Lochlea's whisky in four different ways each year. As a working farm, these expressions tie-in with exactly what is happening at Lochlea. In this Fallow Edition for 2022 they have used 100% fresh 1st fill Oloroso Sherry Butts directly from Jerez Spain. Autumn on the farm is when the fields are given time to recover after harvest and the crisp gold and purple leaves cover the ground. Therefore Lochlea has developed a dark, rich whisky to warm us up as temperatures start to fall. Bottled at 46% ABV (Bottle size? )

Nose: Ripe red fruits & freshly baked banana loaf.

Palate: Dried fruit , leathery notes, malt biscuits.

Finish: Medium length, with hints of aniseed & moreish floral rose petals.
