ONE OF THE 101 WHISKIES TO TRY BEFORE YOU DIE! BALBLAIR DISTILLERY

Balblair Distillery: A Legacy of Highland Craftsmanship

Nestled in Edderton, Ross-shire, Scotland, Balblair Distillery has been a cornerstone of Highland whisky-making since 1790. As one of Scotland's oldest distilleries, Balblair remains true to its roots, using the exceptional Ault Dearg burn water source to craft its distinctive whiskies.

A Celebration of History and Craft

Balblair's whiskies are bottled in distinct vintages, including sought-after offerings like the 2005, 1999, and 1990 expressions. The 1989 vintage, honored as "best in class" in 101 Whiskies to Try Before You Die, is especially cherished among collectors. Each bottle design draws inspiration from the ancient Clach Biorach stone, a Pictish relic symbolizing Balblair's deep historical roots.

Today, Balblair continues to thrive under the Inver House banner, alongside other renowned distilleries such as Speyburn and Knockdhu. A visit to Balblair is not just about tasting whisky; it’s a journey through centuries of Scottish heritage, captured in every bottle.
