This is a fantastic establishment that boasts one of, if not the largest collection of whisky in South Africa from across the world.
As another reviewer mentioned, this is impressive enough, but ultimately meaningless if the experience itself is not up to par. But this is where Whisky Library truly excels as Jacques, the owner is not only an encyclopedia of whisky knowledge, but is also able to tailor a tasting to exactly any patron's palate based on their preference and experience

Had some fantastic whiskies. So many to choose from but Jacques did an excellent job of matching them to what I was looking for. One was so good it basically had me in tears. Thanks for the great experience Jacques. I’ll be back soon to continue where I left off…

One of the nicest places I’ve visited! A must for all whiskey lovers. I felt like a kid in a candy store with all the wonderful options. The owner is very knowledgeable and customises all the tastings to your taste and budget. They have whiskeys for all price ranges. Would definitely recommend all whiskey lovers to visit, it is definitely worth the drive from Cape Town

Situated within Ruste en Vrede in Durbanville, The Whisky Library offers a beautifully pleasant atmosphere that is perfect for dining with family or friends. My parents and I visited the establishment on Father's Day, and we had an absolutely phenomenal time! Jacques was incredibly polite and welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable with regard to the whisky. My dad had one of the Father's Day whisky tastings on offer, and he was delighted with the assortment of international whiskies
