Glen Elgin 2008 15 Year Old Cask #805296 – Adelphi Selection is a limited single-cask Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, distilled at Glen Elgin in 2008 and bottled by independent bottler Adelphi in 2023 after 15 years of maturation.

Drawn from Cask #805296, this release was matured in a sherry cask and bottled at natural cask strength of 55.8% ABV. Only 265 bottles were produced, making it a genuinely small-outturn Adelphi release. The sherry maturation adds richness and depth to Glen Elgin’s naturally fruity, malty Speyside character, bringing dried fruit, caramel, nuts and warming spice alongside orchard-fruit sweetness. Tasting Notes

Nose: Ripe orchard fruit, dried raisins and sweet malt with caramel, toasted nuts and warming sherry spice.

Palate: Rich and full-bodied with baked apple, dried fruit, malt and caramel, developing dark chocolate, nuts, oak and peppery spice.

Finish: Long and warming with lingering sherry sweetness, dried fruit, malt, oak and gentle spice.
