This special release brings back the original Ardbeg 17, first launched in 1997 after the distillery reopened. It was one of the first whiskies from the "new" Ardbeg and became a classic. Now, 20 years after it disappeared from shelves, it returns—recreated by Dr. Bill Lumsden for Ardbeg fans. Matured in ex-bourbon casks, it shows a softer, more elegant side of Ardbeg with balanced smoke and rich flavours. Bottled at 40%ABV

Nose: Gentle peat smoke, balsamic and medicinal notes, with menthol and sea spray.

Palate: Soft and silky, with sweet smoke, malty barley, and dried herbs.

Finish: Long, warm, with oak spice, cocoa, and a touch of iodine.
