Ardbeg 23 Year Old Twenty Something Committee
The Ardbeg Twenty Something 23 Year Old is a rare Committee Release from 2017, crafted from a small batch of bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. This exceptional Islay single malt was distilled in the early 1990s, during a time when Ardbeg’s production was minimal—just a few weeks per year—overseen by staff from its sister distillery, Laphroaig. Matured for over two decades, it delivers old-school Ardbeg character with deep smoky richness, maritime notes, and a refined complexity that only age can bring. Bottled at 46.3% ABV.
Nose: Earthy peat, aged leather, dried fruits, salted caramel, and subtle oak
Palate: Sweet smoke, citrus oil, roasted nuts, dark chocolate, and sea spray
Finish: Long, warming, with wood spice, coal ash, and a touch of sherry sweetness
