Ardnamurchan AD 01.21 :01
Ardnamurchan AD/01.21:01 is among the first whisky releases from this young Highland distillery, presented in early 2021. Bottled on January 19, 2021, by Lewis Hamilton, Adelphi's warehouse manager, this whisky is crafted from peated and unpeated distillates from 2014 and 2015 using concerto barley. It was matured in a mix of American standard barrels, hogsheads, and butts, with bourbon, Oloroso, and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.
Nose: Gentle peat smoke, peach pie, brown sugar, and a touch of chocolate.
Palate: Cherry, chocolate peanuts, vanilla, and warming peat.
Finish: Lingering notes of orange peel, singed barley, and nutmeg.
This limited edition of 16,476 bottles is non-chillfiltered, naturally colored, and bottled at 46.8% ABV. Each bottle features a unique QR code linked to blockchain-stored history, offering full transparency of its production journey. Ardnamurchan Distillery, located in Glenbeg, Scotland, began production in 2014 and released its first single malt, AD/09.20:01, in late 2020.
