Ardnamurchan AD 02:22 Cask Strength

This cask strength release has undergone the classic Ardnamurchan treatment of maturation in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, half of which are peated, whilst the other half are unpeated. Bottled up at 58.7% ABV, without any added colour or chill-filtration, this is another cracker from the Argyll based distillery. Bottle size 700ml

Nose: A rich blend of smoked honey, toasted nuts, and dried fruits, with hints of vanilla and sea spray.

Palate: The mouthfeel is robust, featuring waves of smoky peat balanced by sweet sherry notes, creamy caramel, and spiced oak. Subtle layers of dark chocolate and orange zest emerge as it opens up.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering peat smoke, dried fruits, and a touch of briny sea salt. The finish is complex and satisfying, leaving a lasting impression.
