Ardnamurchan AD/ Paul Launois 57.1%

The supremely exciting and highly anticipated third annual release from Ardnamurchan Distillery, located in the Western Highlands. It’s been matured in first-fill bourbon casks before being transferred into Champagne Paul Launois wine barriques for a year-long finishing period. It’s been bottled at a natural cask-strength of 57.1% ABV with no colouring or chill-filtration. This one will sell out – just 2,676 bottles are available globally.  

Nose: Surprisingly herbal, with aromatic green notes tucked in among marmalade, hedgerow fruits and gently spiced oak aromas.

Palate: More complex spices come through, alongside gooseberry, vanilla and gentle black pepper.

Finish: Medium length with more of those aromatic notes
