Bowmore 12 Year Old (1980s) Dumpy Bottle
This 12-Year-Old Bowmore is a rare gem from the 1980s, when the distillery was still under the ownership of Morrison’s before their acquisition by Suntory in 1989. Known for its peaty character, Bowmore whisky is crafted on the rugged island of Islay, where the distillery was founded in 1779 by John P. Simpson. The name "Bowmore" itself comes from the Gaelic for "Great Reef," referencing the area's coastal waters.
The whisky is known for its signature peaty profile, balanced with distinctive floral and fruity notes that make it a unique and memorable expression of Islay’s rich whisky heritage.
