Bowmore Mariner 15 Year Old – Later Edition is a discontinued travel retail exclusive from Bowmore Distillery on Scotland's Isle of Islay.

Matured for 15 years in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon and sherry casks, Mariner balances Bowmore's distinctive coastal peat smoke with rich fruit, creamy toffee and gentle oak spice.

Bottled at 43% ABV, this later-generation release offers aromas of sea breeze, soft smoke, green apples and caramel, followed by a rounded palate of stewed fruits, sweet malt, maritime salt and warming spice.

The expression takes its name from Bowmore's close relationship with the sea, reflecting the distillery's location on the shores of Loch Indaal.

The later Mariner bottlings belong to the final years of this popular travel retail expression, which was discontinued around 2014. Their updated packaging distinguishes them from the earlier screen-printed editions.

With its mature age statement, discontinued status and characteristic Islay flavour profile, Bowmore Mariner 15 Year Old is a worthwhile addition to collections of historical Bowmore single malts and discontinued duty-free releases.
