Bowmore 17 Distiller’s Choice is a well-aged single malt Scotch whisky known for its balanced flavor profile derived from maturation in both ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. It is typically bottled at a strength that allows the character of the whisky to shine through, with a focus on richness and complexity. Bottled at 43%

Nose: Herbal, ashy, very mild. Some caramel and white fruit pulp after a while.

Palete: Oaky, spicy, a bit peppery, then finally fruity in a sweet, vaguely tropical but also rather indistinct way.

Finish: The fruit comes through alongside the smoke – white peach pulp, perhaps also some honeydew melon.
