Octomore 09.1 is a five-year-old single malt from Bruichladdich, distilled in 2012 using 100% Scottish barley. Matured full-term in premium ex-American whiskey casks, this release boldly proves that age isn't everything. Despite its youth, it offers deep complexity with thick, vegetal peat smoke balanced by notes of vanilla, toffee, and coconut. Soft on the palate with hints of floral sweetness, it finishes long with treacle, sea salt, and warm sand. Bottled at 59.1% ABV, this is a true testament to craft and cask influence over time alone.
