Bunnahabhain Toiteach A Dha
Bunnahabhain Toiteach A Dha
The phrase ‘Smoky Two’ translates to Toiteach A Dhà in Scots Gaelic, pronounced as Toch-ach ah-ghaa. This serves as a follow-up to the original peaty paradox found in Bunnahabhain’s gentle single malt. The creation of this Mòine variant involved the selection of a mix of ex Bourbon and Sherry casks, which underwent full maturation in coastal warehouses situated on Bunnahabhain Bay.
The whisky’s distinct smoky touch comes from the peated malted barley, and its strength is palpable in every sip. It warms the palate with a robust, lingering length and a subtly sweet influence from the sherry. Bottled at 46.3% ABV. Bottle size: 700ml
Nose: Intriguing peatiness with hints of sherry and rich oak.
Palate: Immediate warming peatiness drift to a sweet Oloroso sherry influence with rich oak, balanced with delicate pepper.
Finish: Robust length for the discerning palate.
