Bushmills 16 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey – Late 1990s Bottling – 750ml 43% ABV is a vintage presentation of the acclaimed triple-distilled Irish single malt from the Old Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
This older expression is celebrated for its distinctive three-wood maturation, combining whiskey aged in bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks before a finishing period in port wine pipes.
The result is a rich, beautifully layered Irish whiskey, balancing Bushmills' signature smoothness with ripe red berries, dried fruits, honey, dark chocolate and warming oak spice.
Matured for a minimum of 16 years and bottled at 43% ABV in the 750ml export format, this late 1990s release represents an earlier generation of Bushmills' premium single malt range.
With its historical presentation, complex wood maturation and older bottling era, Bushmills 16 Year Old from the late 1990s is an appealing addition to collections of vintage Irish whiskey.
