Compass Box Asyla 2017

Compass Box Asyla was a smooth, elegant blend that stood out for its use of only first-fill bourbon casks. Made with a 50:50 ratio of malt (mainly from Speyside) and grain whisky, it offered a lighter style while still being rich in character. As one of Compass Box’s earliest core expressions, Asyla helped shape the brand’s reputation for creative, high-quality blends. It was discontinued in 2018 due to the scarcity of key components. Bottled at 40%ABV

Nose: Soft vanilla, fresh oak, and creamy cereal notes.

Palate: Light-bodied but flavourful with sweet grain, soft fruit, and gentle spice.

Finish: Clean, mellow, and slightly buttery with lingering sweetness.
