Compass Box 3 Year Old Deluxe

This Three Year Old Deluxe blended malt as part of their campaign for greater transparency in the Scotch industry. Only 0.4% of the blend is actually 3 years old. Its main component (90.3%) is a considerably older malt from Clynelish that matured in a refill hogshead. The remaining 9.3% is a Talisker malt that matured in a first-fill sherry butt. The blend was bottled in August 2016 at 49.2%. Compass Box Three Years Old Deluxe’s label bursts with sarcasm and we love it. The whisky itself is also pretty amazing. What are we saying – it’s from Compass Box, of course it is. Only 3282 bottles of this limited-edition blended malt were released.
