Discover the soul of the city with Compass Box Metropolis, the third release in the Extinct Blends Quartet. Crafted by lead whisky maker James Saxon, this blended Scotch whisky is a tribute to the rich heritage of blending traditions in the cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh.

This limited release revives the essence of a discontinued Glenmorangie blend known for its high malt content, enhanced by the unique flavors from rare whisky stocks, including contributions from Bowmore and Aberlour distilleries.

Nose: Opens with inviting vanilla, followed by a harmonious mix of honeys, fudge, apricot, pineapple, and fresh fig

Palate: Rich and complex, featuring sultanas, apricot, and subtle smoky wood notes

Finish: Long, sweet, and satisfying, with a delightful weight that lingers

  • 25.8% blended Scotch aged in refill sherry butts
  • 25.1% Aberlour single malt aged in re-charred American oak
  • 20.5% blended grain whisky aged in refill bourbon barrels
  • 16.6% Miltonduff single malt aged in first-fill bourbon barrels
  • 7.1% Bowmore single malt aged in refill bourbon barrels
  • 4.9% blended Scotch primarily aged in first-fill bourbon barrels
