Compass Box Peat Monster Arcana

This limited-edition release from boutique blenders Compass Box was launched in 2020, featuring a unique blend of malt whiskies. The blend consists of Talisker (72.9%), Miltonduff (10.6%), Ardbeg (6.9%), and a cask-strength version of The Peat Monster (9.6%), which underwent additional maturation for two years in French oak casks. These casks had previously matured Compass Box’s Highland malt blend. A total of 8,328 bottles were produced, bottled at 46%, non-chillfiltered, and naturally coloured (750ml).

Nose: Chocolate, cinnamon, and boat tar.

Palate: Fruity with a rich, waxy texture.

Finish: A dry, smoky presence that gradually intensifies.

*Note: The Highland Malt Blend was not included in the final bottling, despite the recipe mentioned on the bottle’s label.
