Compass Box The General Limited Edition

Launched in 2013, The General by Compass Box is one of the most legendary limited editions from the innovative boutique blender. This whisky was created from two parcels of Scotch whisky that had each been blended early in life and then matured together for decades — one parcel aged 33 years, the other 40 years.

Matured in a mix of ex-bourbon and sherry-seasoned American oak, this blend offers astonishing depth and old-style richness. Only 1,698 bottles were produced. Bottled at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or added colour.

Bottled at 53.4% ABV.

Nose: Antique oak, dried figs, beeswax, cigar leaf, and warm spice
Palate: Toffee, old leather, dates, sherry-soaked raisins, and cracked black pepper
Finish: Lingering and complex with dark chocolate, spice, and gentle smoke
