Connemara Cask Strength (1990s Old Bottling) is one of the earliest and rarest expressions from Ireland's pioneering peated whiskey revival. Produced at Cooley Distillery and bottled at a robust 57.7 ABV, this old bottling dates from the late 1990s, when Connemara reintroduced the traditional art of peating Irish malt after more than a century of decline. Non-chill filtered and bottled at natural cask strength, it showcases an elegant style of peat that differs from Islay whiskies—gentler, fruitier and distinctly Irish. Early glass-printed label editions have become increasingly difficult to find, making them highly desirable among collectors of vintage Irish whiskey.
