Nose: Pale gold in color. Malty and peaty with hints of honey, heather, papaya, cantaloupe, and pear. Sweeter than the current bottling, balanced by mild earthy peat.
Palate: Peaty with fruit, oak, and chili pepper. Slightly syrupy. Complex and aged.
Finish: Rough with pepper, oak, and cloying sweetness. More body than the current bottling but a disappointing finish.
