Scallywag is part of independent bottler Douglas Laing's Remarkable Malts series. This blended malt is comprised of malts produced in the Speyside in small batches, and includes such distilleries as Mortlach, Macallan and Glenrothes, with 40% of the whisky matured in first-fill sherry butts. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured.
Nose: Rich spices and delicious vanilla.
Palate: Layers of sweet stewed fruit, Christmas pudding and dark chocolate infused with nutmeg and cinnamon.
Finish: A burst of zesty orange with sweet tobacco, cocoa and fruit cake.

As a compulsive whisky collector, these 2 whiskies were merely for " humour" as the labels are entirely different to the norm. They sit proudly amongst the numerous Glenfiddich's and Johnnie Walkers. Amazing interest have been shown for these two labels.
