Douglas Laing's Big Peat Xmas Edition 2018

A limited edition Big Peat from Douglas Laing. This Christmas edition is without colouring or chill-filtration and is bottled at cask strength. It’s a blended malt small batch recipe that uses 7 Islay malts. You can expect a big ashy, beachy, oceanic, smoky and tarry message in this bottle all the way from the island of Islay. Bottled at 53.9% ABV 

Nose: Rich peat smoke, ashy and briny notes, with hints of tar and coastal influence.

Palate: Intense smoky flavors, combined with coastal saltiness, earthy tar, and a subtle sweetness.

Finish: Long and warming, featuring lingering smoky, ashy, and tarry notes.
