Fable Chapter 5 Monnochmore 11 Year Old (No Box)

Mannochmore 11yo Fable Chapter Five: Hound is a single cask release from the Mannochmore distillery in Speyside, bottled by independent bottler Fable Whisky. Distilled on 3 May 2010, matured for 11 years in a refill hogshead and bottled on 18 October 2021. Only 308 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 55.7%.

Nose: Ripe pear, honeydew melon, fine oak flavour. Ripened strawberries mixed with white grapes. Obvious aromas of pear, honey, herb garden.

Palate: Mango and pear storms forward followed by oak flavour. Very full-oily mouthfeel, the strawberry grape comes back, oily-crisp. A little forest honey. Candle wax mouthfeel. Green fruit. The finish is long. With water added - less of the toasted oak notes, bright green exotic fruit salad, fresh bread, very buttery.

Finish: An elegant expression from Mannochmore, even at 55.7% the honey-pear-mango essence with the most pleasant, toasted oak notes. Fruit salad, long – medium finish very slightly astringent, spicy oak, fresh mint, creamy banana.
