The Famous Grouse Finest Blended Scotch Whisky – Circa 2004/2005 Bottling is an older presentation of Scotland's iconic blended whisky, originally created by Matthew Gloag & Son.

This early 2000s bottling represents a previous generation of The Famous Grouse blend, traditionally associated with distinguished Scottish single malts including The Macallan and Highland Park. Contemporary bottles from this period specifically referenced these distilleries on their labels, highlighting the rich malt character behind the blend. 

Combining carefully selected malt and grain whiskies, The Famous Grouse delivers a smooth, approachable profile of honey, dried fruits, gentle sherry sweetness, toasted nuts and subtle smoke.

With its older label design and historical connection to the classic Matthew Gloag blending tradition, this circa 2004/2005 bottling offers an interesting opportunity to explore an earlier presentation of one of Scotland's best-known whiskies.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Honey, raisins, dried plums and gentle sherry sweetness, with floral heather, soft malt and a hint of smoke.

Palate: Smooth and lightly sweet with dried fruits, toasted nuts, malt, sherry and subtle dark chocolate.

Finish: Medium-short with lingering sweetness, walnut, gentle oak and a slightly dry finish.
