Flora And Fauna Royal Brackla 10
Flora And Fauna Royal Brackla 10
One of the rare releases from the Flora and Fauna series, the Royal Brackla 10 year old which was only bottled in 1995.
This whisky is known for its vibrant flavors and balanced profile, highlighting the craftsmanship of Royal Brackla.
The white capped bottles are especially rare.
Bottled at 43% (Bottle size 700ml)
Color: Pale gold
Nose: Fairly malty and peaty with notes of honey, heather, papaya, cantaloupe, and soft pear. Sweeter than the current bottling, with mild earthy peat providing balance.
Palate: Peat maintains its integrity while allowing fruit flavors to emerge. There is more oak influence, spicy chili pepper, and a slightly syrupy mouthfeel reminiscent of honey. Water has little effect, but the complexity and age are evident.
Finish: A bit rough with pepper, oak, and a slightly cloying sweetness. Despite the finish, it has more body than the current bottling due to its age and peat.
