Glen Moray 12 Year Old Bottling (No Tube)

Glen Moray 12 Year Old is a classic Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from Glen Moray Distillery in Elgin. Matured for a minimum of 12 years, it showcases the distillery’s traditionally light, fruity and approachable Speyside character.

Glen Moray has a long association with American oak and ex-bourbon casks, which contribute the vanilla, caramel and soft oak notes characteristic of the house style.

Expect a smooth combination of orchard fruit, honey, vanilla and malt, complemented by gentle spice and oak. The 12 Year Old has appeared in several different presentations over the decades, including older 43% ABV bottlings from the 1980s and 1990s, as well as later 40% versions. Vintage 43% examples are now discontinued and have particular appeal for collectors of older Speyside single malts. 43% abv 750ml.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Fresh apple and pear with honey, vanilla, malt and light floral notes.

Palate: Smooth and gently sweet with vanilla, honey and orchard fruit, followed by caramel, toasted malt and subtle oak spice.

Finish: Medium, clean and warming with lingering vanilla, fruit and softly spiced oak.
