Glenglassaugh 36 Year Old – Aged Over 30 Years – 750ml 43% ABV is an exceptionally mature Highland single malt Scotch whisky from Glenglassaugh Distillery on the coast near Portsoy. Just over 200 bottles of these ever bottled from a sherry cask filled in 1972.

This older presentation carries the unusual “Aged Over 30 Years” designation, while the bottle itself indicates an age of 36 years. Bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml format, it represents a significantly aged Glenglassaugh from the distillery’s historic stocks.

Extended maturation gives the whisky a deep, mature profile built around dried and preserved fruits, honey, polished oak, nuts and warming spice, alongside the gentle coastal character associated with Glenglassaugh.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Mature dried fruits, honey and orange peel with polished oak, vanilla, nuts and gentle old-leather notes.

Palate: Rich and mellow with dried apricot, raisins and caramel, developing honey, toasted nuts, citrus peel and well-integrated mature oak.

Finish: Long and warming with lingering dried fruit, oak spice, nuts and a delicate coastal character.
