Glengoyne 14 Year Old Oloroso Cask Old Bottling

Glengoyne 14 Year Old Limited Edition Oloroso Sherry Cask is a discontinued Highland single malt produced as an exclusive release for Marks & Spencer. Matured for 14 years in specially selected Oloroso sherry casks, the whisky was bottled at 40% ABV and presented at its natural colour, with no added caramel.

The original release used a combination of first-fill Oloroso sherry butts, first-fill sherry hogsheads and refill sherry butts, giving the whisky its rich dried-fruit character while retaining Glengoyne’s elegant, unpeated house style. One documented early edition was limited to 3,000 bottles, adding further collector interest to this now-discontinued expression.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Fresh pear, caramelised raisins and dried barley with nutmeg, sweet sherry and gentle spice.

Palate: Rich and soft with dried fruits, sweet Oloroso sherry, cinnamon, caramel and nutty oak.

Finish: Creamy and gently drying with lingering oak, nutmeg, pepper and sherry sweetness.
