Glenlivet Alpha

A limited-edition release from the Glenlivet distillery in Speyside. When launched in 2013, the Alpha was described as a blank canvas, a single malt designed to challenge consumers to develop their own perceptions of the whisky without being influenced by age, colour or cask - as none of the details were made available at time of release. We now know that it was matured in first-fill Scotch whisky casks. 3,350 bottles were produced. Bottled at 50%. Bottle size 750ml

Nose: Mysterious and intriguing with aromas of ripe pear, honey, and a subtle hint of oak.

Palate: Smooth and complex, revealing layers of vanilla, toasted almonds, and a touch of spice. A delicate fruitiness complements the rich, creamy texture.

Finish: Long and refined with lingering notes of honeyed sweetness and gentle spice.
