Glenmorangie Côte d'Or Burgundy Wood Finish – 750ml 43% ABV is a discontinued Highland single malt Scotch whisky from Glenmorangie's historic range of wine-cask-finished expressions. This bottle was released between 2004-2007.
Named after the celebrated Côte d'Or wine-growing region of Burgundy, France, this distinctive bottling showcases Glenmorangie's pioneering approach to secondary cask maturation. Following its initial maturation in American oak, the whisky was finished in casks previously used for Burgundy red wine, introducing additional layers of red fruit, gentle tannins and warming spice.
The result is an elegant combination of Glenmorangie's signature citrus and vanilla sweetness with richer notes of berries, dried fruit, chocolate and oak.
Bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml format, this older Burgundy cask expression predates Glenmorangie's contemporary wine-finished range and is an appealing addition to collections of discontinued Highland single malts.
