Glenmorangie Sonnalta PX

VERY RARE! Glenmorangie Sonnalta PX is the first release in the acclaimed Private Edition series, launched in 2009. This limited-edition Highland single malt was initially matured in ex-bourbon casks before receiving an additional maturation in hand-selected Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks from Jerez, Spain. Bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and naturally coloured, Sonnalta PX delivers an exceptionally rich and luxurious profile, filled with dark fruits, chocolate, honey and warming spice. As the inaugural Private Edition release, it has become one of the most collectible modern Glenmorangie bottlings.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Dark chocolate, raisins, treacle, honey, roasted coffee, toasted almonds and rich fruitcake.

Palate: Pedro Ximénez sweetness, figs, dates, cherries, cocoa, toffee, roasted nuts and warming baking spices.

Finish: Long, velvety and luxurious with lingering dried fruits, dark chocolate, sweet oak and gentle spice.
