Heaven’s Door Whiskey, Bob Dylan’s brand, sources and blends whiskey from various distilleries. The mashbill for Heaven’s Door Straight Rye Whiskey is 74% rye and is matured for a minimum of four years. Produced by Spirits Investment Partnership, it is finished in French Vosges oak casks and bottled at 43% ABV.
Nose: Floral and perfumed, with hints of citrus and a rich, dark character.
Taste: Medium-bodied with sweet, oaky flavors and a subtle bitterness. Notes of pepper and honey in the background.
Finish: Medium-long and dry, with a gradual increase in peppery spice. Toasted oak adds depth to the finish, highlighting the rye flavors.
