Hunter Laing Islay Journey Cask Strength (Hand Filled)

Hunter Laing Islay Journey Cask Strength is a powerful small-batch blended Scotch malt whisky crafted from select Islay distilleries. Released in January 2019, it showcases a well-judged balance of smoothness and complexity, with depth drawn from whiskies matured partly in bourbon hogsheads. This special release was hand-filled at natural cask strength to commemorate the opening of Ardnahoe Distillery, making it both a celebratory and collectible Islay bottling. Bottled at 60.4% ABV.

Nose: Coastal smoke, soft sweetness and gentle vanilla

Palate: Bold peat smoke, malty richness and subtle bourbon oak

Finish: Long, warming and smoky with lingering maritime notes
