Scarabus Islay Specially Selected Whisky
A single malt sourced from an undisclosed Islay distillery and launched by Hunter Laing for Fèis Ìle 2019. Named after a mystical area of Islay, Scarabus means "rocky place" in Old Norse. This expression is notable for its secrecy and the golden symbols adorning the bottle. Bottled at 46% ABV (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Coastal sea spray, fresh lemon zest, and a touch of medicinal peat smoke.
Palate: Sweet vanilla, rich toffee, and layers of smoky barbecue with hints of black pepper and oak.
Finish: Long and smoky with lingering notes of charred wood and a touch of salt.
