Jameson Rarest Vintage Reserve 2007 is an exceptionally prestigious Irish blended whiskey and the inaugural release in Jameson's celebrated Rarest Vintage Reserve series.
Launched in October 2007, it was described by Irish Distillers at the time as the most exclusive Jameson expression produced to date. Created at Midleton Distillery in County Cork, the whiskey brings together some of the oldest and most exceptional mature pot still and grain whiskeys available in the distillery's warehouses.
The blend was developed through the collaboration of four distinguished Midleton whiskey specialists: Barry Crockett, Billy Leighton, David Quinn and Brendan Monks, combining expertise in distillation, blending, maturation and whiskey production.
What makes the 2007 release particularly remarkable is its use of mature Irish pot still whiskey influenced by ruby port casks, alongside older grain whiskey and components matured in bourbon and sherry-seasoned oak. This combination creates an exceptionally layered expression, balancing ripe fruits, luxurious sweetness, seasoned oak and elegant spice.
Bottled at 46% ABV, without chill filtration, this rare expression is presented in an elegant wooden display case, reflecting its original luxury positioning.
As the first release in the Rarest Vintage Reserve series, the 2007 edition holds particular historical significance for collectors of premium Irish whiskey.
