Kilchoman Loch Gorm 2025 – 10 Year Old marks a milestone for the Islay distillery as the first-ever age-stated Loch Gorm release. The 2025 edition was matured for a full 10 years exclusively in Oloroso sherry butts and bottled at 46% ABV.

Founder Anthony Wills and Production Manager Robin Bignal selected just 23 Oloroso sherry butts for the release—20 first-fill and 3 second-fill casks. The heavily sherry-influenced maturation brings dark fruit, rich spice and barbecue sweetness together with Kilchoman’s signature citrus character and Islay peat smoke.

As the first 10 Year Old Loch Gorm, the 2025 edition represents an important point in the evolution of Kilchoman’s annual sherry-matured series and offers excellent appeal to collectors seeking milestone releases from the distillery.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich Oloroso sherry, dried dark fruits and warming spice with smoky barbecue notes, citrus peel and maritime peat.

Palate: Full and layered with raisins, dark fruit, toasted nuts and rich spices, balanced by citrus sweetness, dark chocolate and Kilchoman’s distinctive peat smoke.

Finish: Long and warming with lingering dried fruit, sweet spice, dark chocolate and smoky Islay character. Kilchoman describes the decade of sherry maturation as bringing abundant rich spice, dark fruit and barbecue sweetness while retaining the distillery’s lighter citrus and peat profile.
