Kilchoman Machir Bay 5th Release 2016

This was the fifth bottling of their core expression, featuring a vatting of whiskies matured in first-fill bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, offering a signature balance of citrus, vanilla, tropical fruit, and smoky peat, with evolving flavor profiles through increased sherry cask influence over earlier versions, marking a step towards older spirit with gradual age statements. 

Nose: Clean peat smoke, lemon peel, vanilla cream, and soft coastal air

Palate: Bright citrus, earthy peat, sweet malt, and gentle oak influence

Finish: Medium to long with lingering smoke, light spice, and dry seaside notes
