Octomore 6.1 – 5 Year Old Islay Single Malt

Octomore 6.1 is part of Bruichladdich’s sixth edition of their famous super-heavily peated series. Distilled from 100% Scottish barley, it was matured for 5 years in first-fill American oak casks. Peated to 167ppm, this Octomore is powerful but still carries Bruichladdich’s signature balance between smoke, sweetness, and complexity. Non-chill filtered and naturally coloured, this whisky offers bold peat alongside maritime and sweet oak influences.

Bottled at 57% ABV

Nose: Sea spray, wet seaweed, iodine, cracked black pepper, heather, water mint

Palate: Malted barley, sweet oak, vanilla, toasted rye bread, walnuts, lime, poached apple, pear

Finish: Warm and long, with lingering smoke and spice
