Red Spot 15 Year Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is the oldest expression in the modern Spot Whiskey range, created by the Mitchell family in partnership with Midleton Distillery. The historic Red Spot was originally produced by wine merchants Mitchell & Son, with the name derived from the coloured paint marks used to identify ageing whiskey casks. Revived in 2018, Red Spot brings back a celebrated Irish whiskey style that had disappeared for decades.
Matured for at least 15 years in a combination of American bourbon barrels, Spanish sherry butts and Sicilian Marsala wine casks, and bottled at 46% ABV, Red Spot delivers exceptional depth while retaining the distinctive spicy, fruit-forward character of traditional Irish single pot still whiskey. Rich, complex and beautifully balanced, it offers ripe orchard fruit, berries, toasted oak and warming spice with a distinctive layer of Marsala-driven sweetness.
Bottle size: 700ml
