Signatory Benrinnes 12 Year 2008

Founded in 1826, Benrinnes faced destruction by a flood in 1829 and a fire in 1896, with major reconstructions in 1956. It expanded in 1966, increasing its stills from two to six, and practiced triple distillation until 2007. Known for its natural, mineral, and honeyed character.

Nose: Citrus (lemon, grapefruit), pastry (frangipane), spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), nuts, and floral notes.

Palate: Lemony start, ripe fruits (pear, apple), vanilla, and coconut.

Finish: Long, silky, peppery, with star anise, malt, and menthol.
