Distilled in 2014 at the renowned Mortlach Distillery in Dufftown, Speyside, and bottled in 2026, this small-batch expression was matured for 11 years in a combination of first-fill Oloroso sherry butts and refill hogsheads.

Affectionately known as “The Beast of Dufftown,” Mortlach is celebrated for its unusually robust, meaty spirit, produced using the distillery's distinctive and complex 2.81-times distillation process.

The marriage of first-fill Oloroso sherry and refill oak complements this powerful distillery character. The active sherry casks contribute rich dried fruits, dark chocolate, toasted nuts and warming spice, while the refill hogsheads help preserve Mortlach's distinctive savoury depth and muscular malt character.

Expect aromas of raisins, figs, dark cherries, polished oak and cocoa, followed by a full-bodied palate of fruitcake, roasted walnuts, treacle, leather and warming baking spices. Underlying savoury notes provide complexity and balance.
