Springbank 12 CS Batch 13

The 2016 edition of Springbank 12 Year Cask Strength Batch 13 was released as the last bottling run with the original label design. This limited release was aged in a combination of 70% ex-Sherry and 30% ex-Bourbon casks. Bottled at 56.3% ABV (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Rich and complex with initial notes of dried fruits, toffee, and sherry. Hints of dark chocolate, leather, and a touch of smoke emerge, balanced by a subtle maritime influence.

Palate: Full-bodied and robust. Flavors of raisins, dark cherries, and figs dominate, followed by sweet caramel, molasses, and a hint of vanilla. The signature Campbeltown saltiness is present, adding depth alongside a slight peatiness.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering notes of oak, spice, and a gentle smoky undertone.

Overall: This expression of Springbank showcases its distinctive character, with a perfect balance of sherry sweetness, rich fruitiness, and a hint of coastal influence, making it a standout cask strength whisky.
