Springbank 1969 28 Year Old – Murray McDavid 1997 is an exceptionally rare vintage Campbeltown single malt Scotch whisky from one of Scotland’s most collectible distilleries. Distilled at Springbank in July 1969 and bottled by independent bottler Murray McDavid in September 1997, it was matured for 28 years in a single sherry oak cask, #MM7787. Bottled at 46% ABV, this historic expression combines the character of old-style Springbank with decades of sherry-cask maturation. With its 1969 vintage, single-cask provenance and early Murray McDavid bottling, it represents a highly desirable bottle for serious Springbank and vintage Scotch collectors. 46%ABV 700ml.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Mature dried fruits, old leather, polished oak, orange peel and rich malt, complemented by maritime notes, gentle waxiness and classic sherry-cask depth.

Palate: Rich and complex with raisins, dark fruits, roasted nuts, antique oak and warming spice, layered with Springbank’s characteristic mineral, coastal and subtly oily character.

Finish: Long, elegant and mature with lingering dried fruit, seasoned oak, gentle spice, maritime salinity and old sherry sweetness.
