Strathisla 12 Year Old – 1990s Bottling 750ml is a vintage Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from Strathisla Distillery in Keith. This older presentation was bottled at 43% ABV and carries the classic “Pure Highland Malt” wording found on period bottles. A 750ml/43% version from the 1990s is specifically documented in collector records.

Strathisla’s 12 Year Old was introduced into the core range in 1993 as part of the Heritage Collection, and these 1990s bottlings pre-date the later redesigns of the expression. Strathisla is also historically significant as the home distillery and an important malt component of Chivas Regal.

The older 12 Year Old style is associated with a traditional, gently sherried Speyside profile: honeyed malt, orchard fruit, dried fruit, nuts, vanilla and toffee supported by soft oak and spice. The discontinued 750ml format and 43% bottling strength make this an appealing vintage Strathisla for collectors and drinkers interested in older-style Speyside whisky.
