Virginia Black Whiskey

Virginia Black Decadent American Whiskey is a stylish American whiskey created through a collaboration between award-winning artist Drake and spirits entrepreneur Brent Hocking, founder of DeLeón Tequila. Launched in 2016, Virginia Black combines personally selected two, three and four-year-old bourbons, with an emphasis on high-rye character, and is bottled at a smooth 40% ABV (80 proof).

Distilled in Indiana, the whiskey was designed around an approachable, sweeter style, offering rich vanilla, caramel and dried-fruit notes alongside gentle oak and spice. Its distinctive perfume-inspired decanter and connection with Drake have also given Virginia Black strong crossover appeal among whiskey collectors, music fans and collectors of celebrity-associated spirits.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Sweet raisins and dried figs with vanilla, caramel, orange peel and gentle oak.

Palate: Smooth and sweet with vanilla, toasted oak, caramel, dark fruit and subtle warming spice.

Finish: Smooth and warming with lingering toffee, orange peel, vanilla and baking spices.
