Founded in Glasgow in 1844 by James Whyte and Charles Mackay, the company developed a reputation for producing exceptionally smooth and richly flavoured blended Scotch whisky.

This historical expression is distinguished by its Double Maturation, also known as the Double Marriage process, in which selected malt whiskies are first brought together and allowed to marry in sherry casks. The resulting malt blend is subsequently combined with grain whiskies and returned to sherry casks for further marrying and maturation.

This additional integration creates the signature Whyte & Mackay character: smooth, rounded and generously flavoured, with layers of dried fruits, honey, caramel, vanilla and warming oak spice.

The whisky offers a rich yet approachable drinking experience, combining traditional Scotch whisky craftsmanship with the mellow complexity associated with sherry-cask influence.

Presented in an older bottle design, Whyte & Mackay Double Matured is an appealing addition to collections of historical blended Scotch whisky and discontinued packaging styles.

**Bottled at 40%abv, 1L. (Comes with a pack of Whyte and Mackay playing cards)
